Bursa, the historical and cultural city with a long history, is the first capital of the Great Ottoman Empire. A city has hosted many civilizations. One of the witnesses in the transition period from Roman, Byzantine and Seljuks to the Ottomans. However, Bursa gained its historical importance in the Ottoman period and Orhan Gazi made Bursa the capital of the Ottoman Principality.

The Great Mosque, reflecting architectural features of the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish Republic, is one of the most classic and monumental examples of multi-domed mosques. It was built between the years 1396 and 1400 by Yıldırım Bayezid. The mosque is one of the most impressive examples of rectangular-shaped mosques covered by a multiplicity of domes with three entrance portals.
Uludağ, which was founded at the mountain, is one of the settlements in history where the first monks retreated. Uludağ maintains its characteristic feature of being one of the largest winter and nature sports centres of Turkey for four seasons.
In Bursa, you can visit the structures that belong to Islam, Christianity and Judaism and they are still standing also they are under protection. Especially eight of the council meetings that are very important Christianity religion were held in our country. The first meeting and the 7th have been held in Iznik. To the Christian religion, Iznik is one of the most important pilgrimage centres.
Festivals, folk dances and authentic in their activities in rural areas, Hacivat-Karagöz, and the veteran can not be forgotten. The most famous Iznik tiles from the 16th century still embellish all mosques and the other architectural structures during the reign of the Ottoman Empire.
